Happy Thursday everyone! Even though things haven’t quite gotten back to normal yet, the weather outside is changing and it seems that summer has already arrived here in Central Florida! It has been beautiful, and as much as I’ve been missing my students, I have really enjoyed working outside and taking full advantage of this beautiful Florida weather.

As I’ve been spending more time outside though, I’ve been gravitating toward knit cotton dresses more than my stiffer cotton shifts. Lilly Pulitzer has a lot of great options on their site right now, but I wanted to share a bunch of my favorites. Unfortunately I don’t have any of the newest prints in cotton dresses, but I do have some of the same styles in older prints.
The Kelby shift dress is a great knit option that is cut very much like a normal straight shift, but in a comfier, more breathable cotton material. I have this dress in both the Mermaid’s Cove and Hot Tamale Prints and it is one of the comfiest and most versatile styles I own. It looks great with a cardigan or a denim jacket for a casual day at the office, or just by itself.
The Margot Dress is another pretty knit option. It is a swing dress style, making it a cool and breezy option for hot summer days. I have this in Mermaid’s Cove and I have worn it to work with a cardigan and by itself for a fun day at the parks! The only bone I have to pick with this dress is that it doesn’t work with a normal bra so I normally wear it on days cool enough for a cardigan so that you can’t see my straps. It is currently available on the website in Paradise Found and It was All a Dream.
The third and final option I want to introduce you guys to is the Kristen dress. The Kristen dress is a cute swing dress style and is so easy to dress up or down. It has cute criss-cross strap detailing on the back of the dress for added pizzazz and is fun, flirty, and a great way to keep cool. I love it so much I have it in three different prints (Scale Up, Lookin’ Sharp, and JetStream). It is currently on the website in HipNautic, but it is also available with a flounce/ruffle on the bottom in Unicorn of the Sea.

The Romee wrap dress is another great summer option! I love the comfort and style of this style because it is made of the softest terry cloth cotton. The wrap styling makes it easy for you to be as active as you want without feeling restricted.

What are some of your favorite styles for summer? Let me know in the comments!
