Winter, Florida Style

Happy New Year, Sunshines!

I just got back from traveling up north to see family over the holidays, and boy and I glad I live in Florida and got to come home to the most beautiful temperatures! How lucky are we that here at the start of January, it is sunny with temperatures in the low 80s!

I’m loving that I got to trade in my LLBean flannels and fleeces for my pretty printed dresses!

While it is so warm here right now, before I flew to Boston there were some pretty chilly days that got down into the 40s! What I hate most about the cold weather (other than it doing a number on my already dry skin) is that I have to trade in all the bright, beautiful colors for something darker. Most of the winter clothes that I bring out are navy, black, gray, or some combination of those colors.

But, I recently tried out Lilly Pulitzer’s Kelly pants, and they are my new favorite go-to for cold weather here in Florida! They are pretty, printed and fun, while still being flattering and functional! I love pairing them with Martine sweaters or reversible Florin tops. Another classic winter Lilly staple I’ve been turning to lately are their cashmere wraps! When the temperatures drop, nothing is softer or warmer than one of these wraps! I am currently obsessing over anything and everything with pearls, and this pretty pink cashmere Britta wrap checks all of the boxes of all of my favorite things. The Martine sweater is another fun addition to your winter Florida wardrobe with its scalloped trim with tassels! Above, I’ve also styled some Kelly pants with a Sea View button down top, which is another warm, but stylish alternative to the Martine sweater.

Here, I’ve styled the Worth Ave Skinny jeans with the super-soft and warm Britta Wrap.img_6210

When it gets really chilly, I love pairing sweaters and popovers with down vests! The one I wear is from Land’s End, but most retailers from Old Navy, to JCrew, to Lilly all have their own iterations of this cold weather staple.

Stay colorful and cozy, my friends!

XO Steph
